  This practice may be VBAC tolerant but it is not VBAC friendly. From the moment I communicated my intentions of having a VBAC I was met with reasons why it may not happen. The VBAC calculator was used to show that I was not a good candidate because of my ethnicity. Which by the way is not evidence based. The size of a person's hips is not determined by their race. The birth weight of my previous child was also used. I was told by Dr. Masterton if I couldn't birth my previous 9 pound 8 ounces baby I would be crazy to try for a VBAC with a baby that same size. These conversations escalated when I was diagnosed with Gestational Diabetes. A 29 week ultrasound was used to determine that I already had a big baby growing inside. Now I was told I should be worried about fetal macrosomia which would mean a repeat c-section. It seemed like they were looking for medical reasons the whole time that would limit my chances of having a VBAC. I was determined and changed my diet and contacted a nutritionist and diabetic counselor within the first day of knowing I had GD. From what I read GD most of the time can be controlled by diet. Which is why I was surprised when Dr. Ardise instead encouraging me said if I didn't control it I would need to take medicine. If I couldn't control it with medicine, then I would have to take insulin, and if insulin didn't work than it could lead to fetal death. Way to talk to a pregnant woman!!! The bedside manner was particularly terrible with Dr. Ardise - she talked to me not with me. At 33 weeks I transferred to the Midwives of NJ and at 40 weeks and 3 days(7/25/2017) I had a wonderful uncomplicated VBAC. The doctors at Advanced OBGYN were only right about one thing. I was growing a big baby, she was 9 pound and 4 ounces.

  Place is awful, and the staff? Pfft!! Lady named Kathy straight up hung up on my face and denied my wife health care because I was being "disrespectful". Yes, I bet I was being disrespectful after you guys made me wait a whole month because you would even give my wife an appointment, even when I told them she was insured. Awful awful awful!!!

  I absolutely LOVE all the doctors at this practice. I've been going here for 10+ years and never had a problem. The wait time Used to be terrible but they have since improved in that area. They deliverered both my kids and i would recommend them to anyone looking for ob/gyno.
